Things To Do in Austin for the Holidays

Whether you’re in town looking to buy an Austin home or you already have one, you might be hoping for something fun to do during the Christmas holidays. Here are just a few of the events going on over the next few days.

•    The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar will be held at the Palmer Events Center today, Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. There will be festive music, art and last-minute shopping opportunities. Tickets are $5 for daytime and $8 for evening admission. The Palmer Events Center is located at 900 Barton Springs Road in Austin. Call (512) 404-4500 for details.

•    The Blue Genie Art Bazaar continues today, Monday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Marchesa Hall & Theatre at Lincoln Village, 6406 N. IH-35, Suite 3100. If you’re looking for unique and handmade items, you’ll find them here. Admission is free. Call (512) 494-6178 for more information.

•    A musical rendition of “White Christmas” will be held Tuesday, Dec. 25 through Saturday, Dec. 29, at 8 p.m. at the Topfer Theatre, located at the ZACH Theatre complex, 202 S. Lamar Boulevard in Austin. Additional shows will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 3:30, and on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Call the Topfer Theatre for details at (512) 476-0541 x221.

•    The Trail of Lights 2012 will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. weeknights and 6 to 10 p.m. on weekends now through Monday, Dec. 31, at The EmilyAnn Theatre, 1101FM 2125 in Wimberley. This walking path will get you in the holiday spirit. For more information, call (512) 847-6969.
