Texas Longhorns: The Pride of Austin

Many would say that University of Texas Longhorns football is at the heart of the Austin community. It is a source of news, entertainment and excitement for those who live here. In honor of this weekend’s season opener at Rice, we at York Real Estate want to share some of our enthusiasm for the Texas Longhorns with you.

Most notable is the new quarterback at the helm, Garrett Gilbert, replacing Colt McCoy, who has moved on to the NFL. To help Garrett and the UT offense move forward, Coach Mack Brown plans to put more emphasis on the running game this season, with 3 backs vying for playing time. Only 4 regular season starters are returning on offense. There are several promising freshmen receivers and the defense’s secondary is rated second nationally. Go Horns!

Our own Jenni DeWoody is a 1992 grad of The University of Texas at Austin. Like all of our Austin real estate agents, she is very familiar with our city. All of our York Real Estate agents are committed to understanding what our clients want and need. We are thorough in our research, and well-versed in the market trends of our local neighborhoods and the intricacies of Austin MLS listings.

Football fan or not, whether you are contemplating buying an Austin home or you already live here, you will find Austin to be a warm and friendly community.
