Spend some family time this weekend appreciating Dad for Father’s Day. There are many things to do in Austin that are fun and relaxing. Make it a family event or just the two of you spending some quality time together. Whether it is a planned activity, shared meal or something spur of the moment, just enjoy the day and create some memories. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
• Invite the family over to your Austin home. Have a cookout in the back yard or a nice dinner indoors. Set up some yard activities, like cornhole games or Frisbee, or head inside and catch a FIFA World Cup 2010 soccer match.
• Plan a picnic. Head to Zilker Park, Guadalupe State Park or Hamilton Pool. Try some fishing at Lake Travis or one of the many other lakes and tributaries in the Austin area.
• Listen to a free concert featuring the woodwinds ensemble of the Austin Symphony at Hartman Concert Park on Sunday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. The park is located on the Long Center City Terrace grounds. Planned musical selections will include light classical, pops and movie scores.
York Real Estate would like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to all dads.
