When you’re planning to sell your Austin home, there are many things to consider.  One of them is what will convey with your home’s ownership. There are certain things you will definitely want to take with you. There are some items you have no intention of bringing to your new home, and probably a few things that you plan on taking but could live without and leave behind if it meant selling your home more quickly. When you’re preparing your Austin house to sell on the real estate market, it’s a good idea to make a list of what items will and won’t convey. As a rule of thumb, anything attached to your home is considered part of it and conveys with the property; everything else goes with the seller. There is a little bit of wiggle room and negotiation involved in conveyance, however, and it can get a little tricky. If you have never sold a home before or it has been several years, this is a good topic to discuss with your Austin real estate agent.

Hats off to the City of Austin. It recently received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The Financial and Administrative Services Department for the City of Austin was one of 178 municipalities in Texas to earn the national award this year.
