Austin has always been a city with fun and interesting things to do. Formula 1 racing in Austin is now on that list. The track venue, Circuit of the Americas, was declared “race ready” this week for the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix circuit. It passed the pre-race inspection process this week, which was performed by Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The Austin venue is scheduled for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix™ event, slated for Nov. 16 to 18, 2012. It has been provisionally added to the World Endurance Championship tour for Sept. 22, 2013.
Now that the track has been approved by the FIA, expect the venue schedule to fill up gradually. If you live in Austin or you’re planning a visit, check out one of the upcoming races. This is a landmark event in Austin’s history, and one that will permanently change the landscape of the city. At York Real Estate Services, we welcome the F1 circuit to Austin and extend a thank you to all of the people who worked very hard to make this happen.
