The schedule for the 2012 Tour of Homes has been announced for Friday, May 11 through Sunday, May 13, 2012. With a different twist than the former Parade of Homes in the Austin area, the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin is sponsoring an event featuring 60 homes in 10 communities. This gives people a chance to see some of the latest trends in Austin home remodeling, building materials, creature comforts and luxury features in a self-guided tour. The tour of Austin homes will be spread throughout the Austin area so that ticketholders can view a variety of Austin homes with flexibility at their convenience over a three-day period. Tickets cost $5 and come with a wristband for home entry, a Tour of Homes guide and map, information about each home and location, plus mobile site access to GPS directions and a list of nearby homes for mobile travelers.
The Central Texas open house includes new and remodeled custom homes in a wide price range. Participating properties can be found from Leander to Pflugerville to Round Rock to Cedar Park to Austin and places in between. Participating neighborhoods are Falcon Pointe, Caballo Ranch, Highpointe, Belterra, West Cypress Hills, Teravista, Rough Hollow, Rim Rock, Crystal Falls and The Reserve at Lake Travis.
Tour event hours are Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 13 from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are available now through May 13, 2012. For more information, visit the 2012 Tour of Homes website at tourofhomesatx.com.
